In the west of the island of Mallorca is the municipality of Andratx, which has a population of almost eleven thousand. The city of the same name is not the typical travel destination for tourists. Andratx has its own charm: around the city there are eight mountain peaks of the Tramuntana Mountains, between 300 and 950 meters high. They shape the wonderful landscape of the region and attract numerous hikers every year. The area is particularly charming in spring, when the valley is bathed in the splendour of colourful blossoms. The almond blossom season in February and March provides a wonderful backdrop for walks and hikes.
Luxury yachts are moored in the impressive port of Port d’Andratx. In fact, the small town has become the preferred place of residence for wealthy foreigners. The magnificent villas lines up on the hillside near the harbour have stunning views. Beautiful sandy beaches can be found outside the main town in Sant Elm, Sa Dragonera or in Camp de Mar.
