The small village of El Toro is located on the southwestern tip of Mallorca, on the western edge of the small peninsula and belongs to the municipality of Calvià. Santa Ponsa is in the immediate vicinity and one of the main hotspots of this beautiful area is Port Adriano. Since its general renovation, Port Adriano has been very modern and is becoming more and more popular in the yachting scene. Visitors who are more of a landlubber can also enjoy the new harbour promenade and the panorama of the ships dancing on the waves.
The location of the port also has a positive effect on El Toro beach. Many waves break on the beach. The water is turquoise blue and the beach slopes gently, which can be very pleasant, especially for families with younger children. The sand is fine and has a delicate golden hue.
The particularly chic and modern dive center “Mar Baleare Dive Center” offers good access to the marine world outside the port. The friendly staff is very helpful and the instructors are highly trained. Even beginners can sniff a little compressed air here, the equipment can be rented. The diving area on site is attractive and also beginner-friendly.
In the immediate vicinity of El Toro there are two well-kept golf courses, one is Golf Santa Ponsa and the other is Golf Poniente.
Although El Toro is not particularly big, it surprises with a variety of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets.
The Trattoria Vino Del Mar is located directly on the harbor. The cuisine is predominantly Italian, and the fish and seafood are particularly recommended. The service and the price-performance ratio are also good. You can also have breakfast there or enjoy a nightcap with a view of the harbor and the sea.
If you want to dine right next to a yacht, you can do so at the Coast by East. The terrace itself is in the style of a boat, but very modern. The glass veranda gives the guest the impression of simply sitting on a yacht. The view is of course fantastic, which also applies to the “Sansibar Wine Bar” located one floor higher.
